The Wall Street Journal is reporting Apple may introduce a cheaper version of its iPhone.

Citing “people briefed on the matter,”  the newspaper reports the phone could resemble current versions of the iPhone, but with recycled parts and  a less-expensive plastic shell.

The Wall Street Journal said Apple could release the phone later this year.

A spokeswoman for Apple declined to comment on the report.
