A 25-year-old woman has been charged for the stabbing death of her mother over the weekend.
Police say Lonika Welch got into a fight with her mother on Saturday night.
Angela Welch, 55, was found with several stab wounds inside her home in the 8300 block of South Kingston Avenue in Chicago. She later died at a hospital.
Lonika Welch left the home before officers arrived, but they tracked her down several hours later.
She’s scheduled to appear in bond court Monday.
