To read the article about Chicago
1. If you don’t have time to tour the full exhibit, one thing you should know is that Chicago is the only city in North America for which Picasso created an outdoor monument, the unnamed sculpture in Daley Plaza is one we’ve all walked past a hundred times and it was gifted to the city in 1967.
2. For those of us who can only dream of shopping the stores along Oak Street (myself included!), there’s also a new luxury consignment website called TheRealReal.com that launched in Chicago, and Lorrie McDaniel, who previously spent 15 years at Saks, is the retail manager. She comes to clients’ homes and helps select designer items to put online, where users can buy Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Chanel at a fraction of the price.
3. Not ready to commit to a full steak dinner? We are really looking forward to the spring, when we can enjoy a glass of wine on the second-floor patio, which is right next to the vintage, neon Esquire sign they preserved, and we can people watch down on Oak Street.
