Cook County Judge Cynthia Brim will go on trial next month after allegedly throwing keys at a courthouse deputy and shoving another one.
The judge has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor battery charge. Her attorney, James Montgomery Sr., said in court Thursday that Brim was legally insane at the time of the incident last March.
The 54-year old judge was suspended from her job after the incident and has not returned to the bench.
She is expected to go on trial February 4, 2013.
