The community of Newtown, Connecticut took another significant step as it tries to heal from the shooting rampage today.
Students who attended Sandy Hook elementary, the site of the massacre, returned to the classrooms today.
They won’t be attending Sandy Hook, which police say remains part of an ongoing investigation into Adam Lanza, the gunman who also killed his mother before opening fire at the school.
Instead, students traveled to Chalk Hill Middle School in the nearby town of Monroe.
Newtown Public Schools Superintendent Janet Robinson said that part of the building had been transformed to resemble an elementary school.
