Chicago police officers shot and wounded a teenager in the West Englewood neighborhood.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at 67th and Wolcott.
Officers received a call there was a man with a gun at a home. The Fraternal Order of Police says when officers arrived, the man ran out the back door. The F.O.P. claims the man then pointed a gun at an officer. The union says the officer told him to drop the weapon, then opened-fire when the suspect didn’t comply.
Before this shooting, officers responded to the same house to stop a fight between the man and his stepfather.
An official investigation is underway into the shooting.
