At the firehouse in Lynwood, heroes came in all sizes Tuesday night.
A 4-year-old boy was honored by the Lynwood Fire Dept for his part in saving his family from a fire.
On Saturday morning at their mobile home, Ronan Thomas woke up, smelled smoke, saw fire and ran to his mom and dad.
Assistant fire chief John Cobb, one of the first on the scene Saturday.
“The fact that this boy had the common sense to go wake up his parents saved his life, his mother and father and his younger sister,” he said.
Half the town looked on Tuesday night as both father and son got a hero’s award. Brandon, Thomas was honored for running through the fire to save his daughter.
