WGNTV’s Tom Negovan traveled into the Hurricane Sandy zone with a group of volunteers from Chicago and spent a week working with them.

He found an organization committed to doing everything in its power to help long after the headlines faded.

The survivors continue to deal with their losses, with lack of heat, power and what relief they are getting.
