Chai Latte Mix
1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
2 cups powdered non-dairy creamer
1 package (3.5 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups unsweetened plain instant tea
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Combine all ingredients in a very large bowl. Blend this mixture, one cup at a time in a blender or food processor until it’s a fine powder. Stir 2 rounded Tablespoons of mix into a mug of very hot water. Makes about 40 servings.
Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
1/2 cup chili powder
1/4 cup onion powder
1/8 cup ground cumin
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon paprika
1 Tablespoon salt
Put all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Place mix in a small jar or resealable bag. One batch makes about 1 cup of seasoning mix. You can double, triple or multiply this recipe depending on how many batches you want. It makes a great gift.
Attach a label with instructions. Use 3 Tablespoons of the seasoning mix for every one pound of ground beef or ground turkey. Brown beef or turkey in a skillet. Add the seasoning mix and one cup of water for every 1 pound of beef. Let simmer until there is very little liquid in pan. Use mixture to make tacos.
1 pkg. (16 ounces) Oreo cookies
1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese
16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
(Optional) melted white chocolate for striping truffles
Use a food processor to finely crush cookies. Use a mixer to blend cookies and cream cheese. Refrigerate mixture for 30 minutes. With a spoon or small cookie scoop, form balls. You can roll them with your hands if needed to shape into balls. Place truffle balls on a flat cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about an hour. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler. Dip truffles in chocolate. Place finished truffles on parchment and place back in fridge to harden. Then melt white chocolate and stripe them. Makes about 48 truffles. Can be stored in freezer for several weeks. Defrost before serving.
