Three high school basketball players from Sudan will find out Monday if they can continue playing for Mooseheart High School.
The Illinois High School Association is expected to make a decision on the athletes.
Mooseheart’s player recruiting practices are also under investigation.
The school aims to take children from dangerous environments and gives them housing and education.
But at least one competitive school opposes the players, implying the athletes were recruited for their athletic ability.
School officials say the decision to accept the students had nothing to do with athletics.
