Police in Hammond are searching for two men who raped a realtor when she arrived to show them a home.

Police are still not sure at this point if the woman was targeted maybe from a picture on website or on a billboard, or if the suspects just randomly chose her.

She was able to give police enough of a description of one of the men that they were able to come up with a sketch.  Suspect number one is described as a hispanic man in his late 40’s, about 5-feet-10 inches tall, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds, with a mustache that is beginning to grey.

The second man is described as a hispanic man in his late 20’s to early 30’s with a muscular build, shaved head with tattoos on his head.

The men attacked the realtor Friday morning around 10 am in Hammond’s working class Robertsdale neighborhood.  The woman had gotten a call about showing a home in the 600 block of Burton Court.

When she arrived, two men met her.  As she opened the door, the men brutally attacked her and sexually assaulted her, then ran off.  She called 911 and was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.

Police say so far they are running into dead ends when it comes to tracking down these suspects.

If you recognize these men or know anything about his assault, you’re asked to call Hammond police.
