Weather Internship

Responsibilities: This internship is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in meteorology. The position requires either a major or minor in meteorology or atmospheric science. Duties include: climate research, operating the database, gathering important information and editing text for the show and or Tribune Weather Page, and answering the phone. Usually work two days per week.

Undergraduate (junior/senior standing) or graduate students attending an accredited college or university majoring in Broadcasting/Communications/Journalism or related field of study. Students must be able to obtain college credit for the internship experience (Internships are unpaid).

DURATION/HOURS: Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week during a 13-18 week period.

FALL (September – December) WINTER/SPRING (January – April) SUMMER (May – August)
